Mobilizing a Team for Change
When tragedy strikes, the strength of a community becomes a beacon of hope. This April, a team of dedicated designers, led by Todd, is coming together to transform the life of one family impacted by a devastating event. Shawn Wilkerson was shot 12 times on Christmas, an event that shook their lives to the core, losing their jobs and their home. But the road to recovery serves as a reminder of the power of community, resilience, and support in times of hardship.
The Power of a Team Effort
Seeking to provide a fresh start for Shawn, his wife and baby boy, the team is donating their time to transform new housing into a comfortable, safe, and uplifting space for the family. Set for installation on April 8, this project goes far beyond a home makeover—it’s symbolic of community coming together and about offering hope and healing. The transformation of this home would not be possible without the support of generous individuals and businesses who have donated their time, skills, and resources.
Donations have come from many corners, including:
TOBE DesignGroup, Lindsey Abrams Design, Waterlily Interiors, Shotgun Double and Everett Scott Designs: team of designers space planning, coordinating contractors, procuring items and fundraising.
Nroute Delivery: donating unused items and ensuring that each reaches its destination safely and on time.
Randolph Flooring: providing high-quality flooring and rugs that will help transform the space.
Chesapeake Framing: offering custom framing to display meaningful art and memories.
Suz Podrasky Studio: creating custom artwork making the space feel truly personalized.
And many others who have donated materials and design services, helping to bring this project to life.
